Fraser Accounting has a unique, modern structure for a Chartered Accounting firm. Graeme Fraser, Stephen Hatfield and Paul Denniston are the Directors of the firm and have worked together with other shareholders Dawn Witherford and Paul Toomey since moving the business from Coopers and Lybrand into Fraser Accounting in 1998. Shannon Hannah became the sixth employee shareholder in 2007.

Of the ten people working in the business, seven are experienced Chartered Accountants.  We also have one qualified accounting technician and a trainee, in addition to our office support person to make up our team.
Our business model works well for us and our clients. It provides continuity, quality and security.

Each person working in our business has their own area of special interest, and our skills are complementary. While a client may have a relationship with one person, there are others in the background providing expertise at different levels.

Our training and development programme, including internal and external providers is focussed on skills to meet our clients specialist needs. In addition, we ensure we have the very best technology available to provide efficiency and to continuously improve standards and service.

Our people work well together to achieve excellent results for our clients.

Graeme Fraser

Graeme has a broad spectrum of commercial skills working with medium and large size businesses as a business and strategic advisor. Over the past ten years he has moved to a consultancy role focusing on business appraisal and planning, valuation, restructuring, taxation, funding and is a Director of several private companies.

Graeme is a very innovative thinker from a commercial viewpoint. He takes the Fraser Accounting strap-line “moving your business forward” seriously. Whatever stage you are at with your business, he wants to see whether there are opportunities to do better. He explores your business structure to ensure that business risk is quarantined and that family interests are looked after.  He considers practical operational aspects, offering a valuable “outsiders” view; valuable when you’re in the midst of frantically looking after customer issues with no time to pay attention to other aspects of your business. He will help you see the future.

Graeme is also a realist – something that comes from experience as a business owner and advisor. He is also prepared to communicate this. If there are inherent reasons your business, on fundamentals, will not work – why not sort these issues now rather than later? Graeme will be straight up, understand where you’re heading and suggest strategies to get where you realistically can. And then help you work it through.
